Artwork > Indigo and block printing

I capture and document the invisible processes around us. I am drawn to the layers and realities of things—the subtle movements within us, in the landscape, in plants, and in time. My projects take months, sometimes even years, to develop. I move between the Czech Republic, India, and the United States.

Through the process of blueprint (modrotisk) and hand-printing on fabric, I record the labor, cultural, and intellectual heritage of artisans, create new patterns, and explore the possibilities of traditional techniques with unexpected materials.

My art is a conversation—a dialogue between heritage and innovation, tradition and the present, the viewer and the object, time and space.
